BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MONDAY MARCH 8, 1915. LOUISE MAYO: Singing Comedienne, 12 minutes (1) Fair act, offering a new line of songs, in a voice strong in volume, but rather weak as to tone quality, her closing number being her one best effort. ALBERT & IRVING: Singing and dancing, 10 minutes (1) 2 Men. Fair dancing act, the original idea in introducing the various dances, is something of a novelty, and is instrumental in providing a laugh or two during the turn. VICTOR'S MUSICAL MELANGE: 27 minutes, open in two, close full stage, special drop. 1 Lady. 15 Men. With but one exception, the program in its entirety is identical with that offered during their first visit here, and it has lost none of its entertaining powers. The reception accorded the players last evening was tumultuous, the applause being well-nigh deafening and they responded to curtain after curtain. As was the case when first seen here, their presence has caused a sensation, and they are the main topic in amusement circles here. A most emphatic success. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW THURSDAY MARCH 11, 1915. STONE & ELEXA: Musical and acrobatics, 10 minutes, Open one, close full stage. Lady and Man. Fair act, offering one or two new feats of contortion, and just one good acrobatic trick at the finish. Violin selections by the lady serve to give a few added minutes to the act. BILLY PAYNE: Singing, 11 minutes (1) Fairly good act, offering a varied program of new songs. The double voice idea passes in the way of novelty. JOHN & WINNIE HENNINGS: 14 minutes full stage. Good act, the comedy getting plenty of laughs. Fairly good eccentric dance also proves entertaining, and the act went well at all shows. [W. E. Parmenter?] Manager.
