Report on Providence show week of March 15, 1915. Charles Lovenberg, Manager. The show played pretty well although there was not much enthusiasm from the audience, which seemed to be made up very largely of curiosity seekers attracted by Miss Nesbit, who bids fair to give us a big week's business. THE THREE JEANETTES This is a splendid opening act and could be used to close a show. The act somewhat resembles The Gaudsmidts, made up of two men as clowns, who do some clever acrobatic work, and a woman, who does some work with dogs and pigeons. They have some clever dogs and the pigeons are introduced in a picturesque manner and some fun is got out of a monkey. Good little act. 8 minutes F. S. MARY DORR Character songs. Miss Dorr fared very nicely in this spot. 13 minutes in one. MCDEVIIT, KELLEY & LUCEY Well known variety act which scored very well indeed. 17 minutes open F. S. short close in one. MARION LITTLEFIELD & CO. Exceptionally good singing act which made a hit. 20 minutes open F. S. close in one. GLEN ELLISON The Scot without a Kilt. Mr. Ellison sings several songs in Scotch dialect and tells some Scotch stories. Has a very pleasing personality and, while his methods are quiet, he gets over in good shape. 16 minutes in one. EVELYN NESBIT & JACK CLIFFORD As a box-office attraction Miss Nesbit is proving her value as we have an enormous advance sale. On the stage she does very nicely indeed, better than one might expect. 13 minutes open in one about 7 minutes finish F. S. DUFFY & LORENZE This well known act repeated its success that it made on a former visit. 16 minutes in one. THE LAWN PARTY A good lively act, plenty of ginger, and good comedy. Closed the show in first-rate shape. 28 minutes F. S. MOTION PICTURES O. K.
