H. T. JORDAN PHILADELPHIA SHOW MARCH 29, 1915. HEARST SELIG PICTURES. Pictures not up to the average this week. Bad reel. JORDAN GIRLS. 9 min. Three girls who present a very showy wire act with two of them opening in one with a song and dance. Attractive looking act and made a good opener. RELLOW. 11 min. This man is called a Mentaphonist and has a good novelty in one. He makes music by clapping his hands in front of his face and secures excellent harmony results. He was very well received, getting liberal applause. RICE & COHEN. "An Early Breakfast." 23 min. this is a new sketch and entirely different from those used formerly by this pair. It is not up to their usual standard. It tells a mistaken identity story and is well handled by the three principals employed but while it was fairly well received, it did not get the laughs Rice and Cohen have been used to here. BARRY & WOLFORD. 14 min. This pair of chatter-talkers and parody singers made their usual good impression with the audience. They are using along the same line of material and all of it up to their standard. Were warmly received. MORRIS CRONIN & CO. 14 min. A very showy novelty unchanged from what it was on its first visit here last season. It combines an excellent display of juggling as well as a liberal amount of comedy and scored a solid hit. CHIEF CAUPOLICAN. 16 min. This Indian orator and singer has a very interesting act of an unusual kind and therefore a novelty. He possesses an excellent singing voice and knows how to get results with his talk. Made a very good impression. GERTRUDE HOFFMANN. 64 min. About the same act that she gave last season, a few changes being made at the opening. As before, it contains an unusual amount of variety, comedy, travesty bits, imitations and spectacular dances and is still the biggest act of its kind playing vaudeville. It scored as big a hit as ever here. GENERAL REMARKS. This is a big show with Gertrude Hoffmann and her Revue as the principal feature surrounded by a program which played out in satisfactory style and proved a winner with the audience.
