REPORT on BOSTON SHOW for WEEK of APRIL 26th - 1915. (R. G. Larsen.) EDDIE CARR and CO 15 minutes f.s. Office Set. Short close in one. Olio. In a sketch called "The Office Boy." Carr is a good, lively comedian, and has a very fair sketch of its kind. He could go further down on the bill but owing to the fact that we had so much material of the same character, we were forced to have him open the show in order to break it up. THEA LIGHTNER and DOLLY JORDAN 14 minutes in one. O.P. Drapery. Two girls and a piano. One of the girls is rather clever, the other is somewhat of a drawback to the act. The turn is not as good as the last time they played here, although it finished fairly well. THE GLADIATORS 10 minutes f.s. Special Set. This is an exceptionally good strong man act, with a lively finish, which went over big in this spot. EMILY DARRELL and CHARLIE CONWAY 15 minutes in one. Olio Drop. Went over in very good shape, but not the riot I have seen it in other places. BONNIE GLASS & CO. 14 minutes f.s. Palace Set. With her own cabaret orchestra. Miss Glass has been under difficulties here this week. She brought over a new orchestra, which could not seem to get together, and spoiled the act a couple of days, until last night, when she was forced to make changes in it and let some of the New York players go. Under the circumstances, it is difficult to tell whether the act is any good. It certainly has not been getting over the first two days. STUART BARNES 22 minutes in one. Olio Drop. Doing about the same line of material, and getting away with it in pretty good shape. PAT ROONEY and MARION BENT 21 minutes in one. Special Drop. Going very big. In fact, a positive hit. Especially where Pat conducts the orchestra. REGINA CONNELLI and CO. in "The Lollard." 18 minutes f.s. C.D.F. This is a fairly good number three comedy sketch, but lacks the punch for this spot in the bill, but it happens there is nothing else we can put here. TRIXIE FRIGANZA 26 minutes in one and three. Wood and Olio Drops. With as good a line of stuff as she has had, Miss Friganza is having very hard sledding here this week. WONDERFUL AUSTRALIAN WOODCHOPPERS 9 minutes f.s. Special Set. A good novelty closing act that holds the attention. COMMENT: While nearly all the numbers on this bill are standard acts, there is so much of a sameness that it never really gets started except with Pat Rooney.
