BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. [Rhode Island] REPORT OF SHOW MONDAY MAY 10, 1916. KIDHMA: Juggler, 12 minutes (2) Fairly good act, displaying cleverness with one or two tricks. For the rest it is quite ordinary, being but a repetition of what we have had in kindred acts time and again. ALLMAN & STONE: Singing and piano, 15 minutes (I) 2 Men. Good act, the vocal renditions by Allman, and the piano selections by Stone being particularly well executed, and calling forth well-nigh tumultuous applause from a delighted and thoroughly appreciative audience. JOHN B. HYMER & CO in "Jimtown Junction". 10 minutes full stage. 1 Lady. 2 Men. Weak as a feature; Produced a few intermittent laughs by the comedy which, on the whole", is weak. A very delicate and subtle vein of pathos at the termination helps to redeem the weakness of the earlier moments. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. [Rhode Island] REPORT OF SHOW MONDAY MAY 13, 1916. CLAREMONT BROS: Revolving pole, 6 minutes full stage. Fairly good act, performing the same routine of tricks usually seen in quite a skillful way. The comedy gets nothing as to laughs and might well be dispensed with. YVONNE: Accordionist, 11 minutes (I) Flush drop. Fair act, rendering a number of selections of the popular order in quite an effective way. MR. & MRS. JAMES KELSO: Singing and talking comedy skit, C. D.F. Good act containing much new material. As a comedian Mr. Kelso is clever, while the imitation of an inebriated person by Mrs. Kelso is uproariously funny and meets with plenty of laughter; A sure hit at all performances. [illegible] P[illegible] Manager.
