REPORT on BOSTON SHOW for WEEK of MAY 31st - 1915. (R. G. Larsen.) D'ALMORE and DOUGLAS 9 minutes f.s. Special Drapery. Two good looking young chaps in a series of strong man and head balancing feats. An excellent opener. ALLMAN and STONE 11 minutes in one. Olio Drop. Two men and a piano. good act of its kind which might go further down. NORTON and NICHOLSON in "Ella's All Right." 20 minutes f.s. Plain chamber. A very rough comedy sketch, which got quite a number of laughs. RUTH ROYE 15 minutes in one. O.P. Drapery. It must be admitted that Miss Roye was considerable of a disappointment in Boston. We headlined here, and perhaps the audience expected too much. At any rate, her programme lacks variety. Every song is alike, and put over in the same way. WYATT'S SCOTCH LADS and LASSIES 21 minutes f.s. Special Drop. A very good act. Eleven people, and full of life and ginger. Scored a big hit. DU CALION 17 minutes in one. Garden Drop. The talkative sailor on the tottering ladder. A big laughing hit. VALERIE BERGERE and CO in "THE LOCKS AT PANAMA" 23 minutes f.s. Special Set. A rather over-drawn dramatic sketch with touches of comedy. Has quite a striking scene showing the locks of the canal in the background. Went very well. MAGGIE CLINE 23 minutes in one. O.P. Drapery. Her usual hit. MEEHAN'S LEAPING DOGS 12 minutes f.s. Garden. The hit of the show was the high jumping of "Black Captain," one of Meehan's hounds. this dog's clean, beautiful jumps arouse the audience to enthusiasm. One of the best dog acts we have ever played. CUTS: Valerie Bergere - Bushway - My God - God help us. Norton & Nicholson - My Gawd - business of scrapping bed bug off table cloth.
