BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW MONDAY SEPT. 13, 1915. PERONA: MUSICAL, 9 MINUTES (2) Fairly good act, offering a good line of popular selections. The idea of the electric bells in conjunction with the accordeon is a bit of novelty that impressed favorably. HARRY SAUBER: COMEDIAN, 14 MINUTES (1) Gets plenty of laughter with a fairly good line of talk, and some character impersonations are cleverly done. IMPERIAL OPERA COMPANY: 20 MINUTES, 3 SCENES, 9 PEOPLE & CONDUCTER. They offer a diversified program of selections from the better known operas, in voices of quite good quality. The scenic effects and costuming is notably attractive. One serious handicap under which both they and we are obliged to work is, that the music is arranged for a greatly augmented orchestra, and it is of course difficult to do justice to the offering and all it contains with an orchestra of but four members. The act was very well received at every performance. [W. E. Parmenter?] Manager. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I. REPORT OF SHOW THURSDAY SEPT. 16, 1915. THE SCHEMTTANS: EQUILIBRISTS, 10 MINUTES (2) LADY & MAN. Good act, performing with skill and grace a number of artistic posing, and difficult equilibristic feats. Bits of juggling are adroitly done, and contribute materially to the success of the offering. DAVE KINDLER: WHISTLER, 8 MINUTES (1) MR. & MRS. NORMAN PHILLIPS: SKETCH, 15 MINUTES C.D.F. The offering met with rather a dismal failure, our audience refusing to be interested in anything quite so tame and uninteresting. [W. E. Parmenter?] Manager.
