REPORT on BOSTON SHOW for WEEK of NOVEMBER 1st - 1915 (R. G. Larsen) CLAUDE M. ROODE 8 minutes f.s. Palace. Drunken man on the slack wire. Fair opener. WEBER, DOLAN and FRASER 13 minutes in one. Olio Drop. A rattling good three-man rathskeller act, with some good songs and plenty of life and ginger. Went very well. MR and MRS NORMAN PHILLIPS in "Sweets to the Sweet" 15 minutes f.s. CDF. New light comedy act with two rather clever people. Got laughs all through, and closed fairly strong. IRENE and BOBBIE SMITH 14 minutes in one. O P Drapery. These girls have some new songs, but the hit of their act was the old baseball number at the finish. JULIAN ROSE 19 minutes in one. Olio Drop. Mr Rose is telling some pretty old stories this week, but he is a great laughing hit, nevertheless. EVELYN NESBIT and JACK CLIFFORD 12 minutes f.s. 3 scenes. Open in two. Go to one. Close f.s. Special Set. Miss Nesbit drew two big houses to-day, and her act went over first-rate at both performances. MARIE NORDSTROM 15 minutes in one and two. Olio and Palace drops. A rather novel turn, introducing poetry, imitations, singing, dancing and dramatic travesties. Went over in good shape. EDDIE LEONARD and CO in "The Minstrel's Return." 25 minutes f.s. Palace. Very short close in one. Olio Drop. Leonard was the applause hit of the show. He is assisted by a pianist and two banjo players, and his new act is fast and full of life and ginger. Leonard's songs and dances are as big a hit as ever. Closed very strong. FIVE BELMONTS 9 minutes f.s. Special Set. Good, flashy turn introducing diabolo work and hoop juggling. Acceptable closer.
