BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R.I. REPORT OF SHOW, MONDAY, JAN. 17, 1916. THE RAMSDELL DUO: DANCES, LADY & MAN, 7 MIN. FULL STAGE. Theirs was the poorest reception ever accorded an act during my administration here. It was positively painful. BURT MURPHY: COLORED COMEDIAN, 13 MIN. (1). Obtained a bit of laughter with some very weak comedy. He should do more dancing, for he has ability in that line, and more of it would help considerably. SPENCER KELLEY, MARION WILDER & CO. MUSICAL, 3 LADIES, 1 MAN. 17 MIN. C.D.F. The man sings well and this is the bulk of the act. The rest do not at any time approach real feature material, and they could be eliminated and leave a first rate 'single'. [W. E. Parmenter?] Mgr. BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R.I. REPORT OF SHOW, MONDAY, JAN. 24, 1916. FRED AND ANNIE PELOT, COMEDY JUGGLERS, 14 MIN. SPECIAL SET. Same as when seen here on former occasions, nothing new. The old business of catching on a fork held in the mouth, apples hurled by the audience obtained considerable laughter. CLEGG, XYLOPHONIST, 13 MIN. (1). Fair act, no better and no worse than others of its kind, and he met with a fair reception. GLORIA FOY AND CO. SONG REVUE, ONE LADY, ONE MAN AND FOUR CHILDREN. 18 MIN. SPECIAL SET. The 'prima donna' has a voice that can scarcely be heard a dozen rows back, and were it not for the children the act would be a deplorable failure. The little ones are clever for youngsters, and the audience was kindly disposed toward what they did, and accorded good applause. Take the children away and there would be little left. [W. E. Parmenter?] Mgr.
