162 REPORT ON KEITH'S BOSTON SHOW week of MAY 1st - 1916 R. G. Larsen. THREE MUSICAL JOHNSTONS 13 minutes fs. Music room. Xylophone soloists. Good opener. RHEA HESS and HATTIE HYDE 14 minutes in one. Olio Drop. Most of their songs are old, but they pulled out a strong finish with the Russian dancing. FRANK MILTON and DeLONG SISTERS "The Diamond Palace." 18 minutes in two. Special set. Better than their old act. Got a lot of laughs and closed well with the saxaphone number. VAUGHN COMFORT and JOHN C. KING in "Coontown Divorcons" 19 minutes in one. Special Drop. The comedy hit of the show. GRACE CARLISLE and JULES HOMER 16 minutes fs. C.D.F. High-class musical and singing act, with man and woman. Went over first-rate. TRULY SHATTUCK and MARTA GOLDEN 18 minutes in one. Garden. Miss Golden is a clever character comedienne and an excellent foil for Miss Shattuck. A good act, and went well. CHARLES E. EVANS and HELENA PHILLIPS in "A Forgotten Combination" 25 minutes fs. C.D.F. Another big laughing hit. EVA TANGUAY 22 minutes in one. O. P. Drapery. All of Miss Tanguay's songs and costumes are new, with the exception, of course, of "I Don't Care." Went over very big. SIX TUMBLING DEMONS 8 minutes fs. Garden. This is a whirlwind Arab act dressed in while jerseys and gray knickerbockers. Work fast and made an acceptable closer. COMMENT: We have three musical acts and three sister acts in the early part of the show. Opening business very disappointing.
