BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I., Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 31, June 2 and 3 EMMY & EFFIE ELLIOTT--- Harmony and Song--two girls, singing act; special JapaNESES setting with electrical effects, water scenes, etc.; this act went very poor. 10 min. in two. APDALE'S ZOOLOGICAL CIRCUS--- Four Bears, 8 Dogs, Three Monkeys, One Ant Eater. Two assistants. Among the many stunts these animals perform are: playing musical instruments, dancing, standing on their heads, riding bicycles, juggling back and forward somersaults, etc., [11?] min. full stage; went good. AL HERMAN--- "The Black Laugh"--Herman had the audience continually in great laughter at his funny sayings the entire 15 min. he was on the stage: went over big. [Signature: A S Watson] REPORT ON SHOW PLAYING THE SCENIC THEATRE PAWTUCKET R.I. June 4, 1917. Lestro Whistling novelty by young lady in one 9 Min. Popular numbers. Went Fair. Yamamoto Bros. Work in full stage 8 Min. Wire and perch artists doing a very good act. Went Good. Frank Crumit Works in one 12 Min. Tells a few stories plays a little and sings well. A very fine single offering. Went Very Good. George Damerel Seven Girls and three men in "Temptation". Work 35 Min. in special set. Mr. Dameral has a good voice the act is well staged and custummed but there is not much to the offering and very little talent is shown. The act was not liked by our patrons. Went Fair.
