[left side of page has illustration of symbols and music notes, and figure at bottom of page. Text underneath is: 'Darling,' he murmured passionately.] [text in one column on right side of page.] [title in handwritten text] RHAPSODY LEGION [normal text] by OPUS B. MAJOR A STORY OF THE UNIVERSE OF MUSIC BEFORE THE MILKY WAY WAS IN EXIST* ENCE. UNIQUE! # I ECHOED MY WAY down the octaves, humming in E flat tune. Harmonizing my way through the crowded scales I had finally arrived the blend- ing of the strains was get ting to thick for my health. My head was whirl- ing from the cross waves of molddy, but I struggled on, subtly managing to change my pitch, until I had definitely arrived in Swingland. The sudden change made me ill. To havebeen born a Threnodist, and then to arrive in Swingcity is an extreme of variations that has been known to discordize the best. But I held my strength, man- aged after a bit to get in tune, then went down the scales seeking my lost love. [centered] -8-
