STATION W-S-F-C The 4th World Science Fiction Convention is, we believe, the first stefvenfion to receive publicity on the air. Abby Lu Ashley was interviewed on the "Carnival of Quiz" program one Sunday afternoon several weeks ago and told the announcer considerable about the forthcoming convention. On Memorial Day, Tigrina talked 3-4 minutes over "Queen for a Day" (National Hookup) with emphasis on the Masquerade Ball. Once-actifan Harry Jenkins, now a servifan in Virginia, nearly fell off his bunk when he heard the magic word "Pacificon" emerge from the radio. Van Vogt's sister's boss heard Tigrina. Darlyne Adams did. Any other reports? CLEAR from North CAROLINA A $10 hotel deposit has been received from an unknown femme fanne, Patricia Davis, who writes that she will arrive (all the way from N. Carolina!) in the Land of L.A. on 3 July. The damozel Davis Is a dress designer, we understand, and has designs on copping a prize at the Masquerade. She'll come as a character by Catherine Moore!
