Page 58 ----- THE ALCHEMIST ----- THE STRANGE AND DISTANT LANDS The magic wings of fantasy Like the Caliph's magic carpet Can reach the far off places -- Those never visioned lands Frequented only by the winds And the wanderlust imaginings Of those who dream with words. Printed lines are never bounded, But stretch to shadowed realms Dark in the distance of futurity, Only seen in the mind's desire By those who follow unknown paths To reach goals of never-will-be -- But might be, were fantasy realized.
