Page Eleven why that enthusiast came to the Convention. It seems likely, in view of recent events. When the two feuding fans were introduced personally, the crowd expected a street-brawl to ensue. Naturally, they shouldn't have, for they couldn't have known that the two were the best of friends. And that historic meeting more than just strengthened that friendship. The conversation that then was exchanged was this: NYFan: "But how about your voice over the radio?" SCFan: "The [sic] was my obliging brother." At the next Convention they announced their engagement. At the CHICAGO 1951 WORLD SCIENCE FICTION CONVENTION they were publicly married. It would make a nice story. I wish I had time to write it.
