Reverie Vol. 3, No. 3 SEPTEMBER, 1940 Whole No. 10 Memories of Mother By David Edward Ungar ------ Mother of mine, I am happy this morning, Here in the joyous bright sunshine of May, Dreaming of days when we two were together-- How I wish you were here with me today! Still I remember life's lessons you taught me, Smiling so calmly,--tender, yet gay; My life is strong in the love that you brought me, My heart shall cherish your memory for aye! I cannont grieve for the years we've been parted, Knowing each year that I live, you will be Guiding my life--as you have since it started-- Fairer, and dearer, and nearer to me!
