December 30, 1945 My dearest Carroll, Hi darling! Another year almost gone & what a wonderful year it has been. So much has happened that means so much to me. I found you darling & how absolutely right it is. I doesn't seem possible but every day I love you more & more. Your love for me has made me the happiest gal in the world. The new year holds so many wonderful things for you & I darling. It means everything to me. We have really been busy lately. Not so much scheduled surgery. It's the emergencies they bring in. People have several days off & spend their time puttering around in their workshop & always get hurt. The fellow we had today fainted & I had to quick hurry [with] the spirits & then he was O.K.
