January 14, 1946 My dearest Carroll, Hi darling! Jeepers do I get mixed up while I'm on nites I never know for sure what day it is or what the date is. Can't say as I really mind at all cuz the only day I'm counting on is when you get home. It'll all be so wonderful. I sit and daydream about it for hours. We'll be so happy together darling. Anything to make you happy darling. Your happiness means everything to me darling. Today I was so excited when I got up today. I had 2 wonderful letters from you. Were dated 25th & 27th. I've read them & read them. Darling, your letters are all so wonderful. I'm glad you had a nice Xmas dinner. How I wished I were [with] you then & always. My complete happiness will start when we can start our life together darling. Nothing else matters to me honey. It's all so right. Knowing you love me has made me
