office & some woman called & wanted to know if there was a little Negro boy here. He'd disappeared about 10 AM & here she was calling about 2 AM. next morning. Got that situation taken care of & just got back to sleep when -- who of all people should come in but the director. She had been gone for a wk. & was just getting back so came over to see if there was any mail etc. She turned all the lights on & pawed thru everything while I sat there half asleep. And then she started crabbing about some of the hour slips & I was in no mood to argue. About 1/2 hr after she left we had a couple deliveries. So I didn't get much sleeping done. The Sr. class has this coming wk. off. They go to [Drs Marines?] for State Boards. I'd love to have a
