February 5, 1946 My dearest Carroll, Hi darling! Got 2 letters from you today honey. I love them. One you had sent to your Mother by mistake so your Dad sent it on to me. He said all he read was the heading really & he knew at a glance it wasn't for them. It was so cute the way he apologized for opening it as if he could have helped it. Ha Gee, it's lonely around here tonite. Seems as tho everyone has gone out or is on duty. I hate nites like this. I seems as tho I'm not happy unless there's a big bunch around.
