And while we kids were doing the dishes your Mom was reading the paper & what should she see but that Owen is to land in the States Sat. Isn't it wonderful? Just think darling before long you'll be landing in the states. I can think of nothing I want more. The days keep slowly slipping by & the closer it gets the more excited I get. I try & try to think of the right way to tell you how very much I love you but on paper it just doesn't sound right. To be near you, to talk to you. How perfectly happy I'll be. Honey, I'm on duty & I have to dash to 3rd & do some work so I'll write some more right away. Here's a big kiss for you & sleep tight. I love you from the bottom of my heart. All my love, Evelyn.
