March 6, 1946 My dearest Carroll, Hi darling! Wed nite & we just got back from class. All the graduates had to go & learn the correct technique of administering penicillin & in starting IV's. We have all Army issues of plasma now so he explained that set-up. I was so drowsy I almost fell off the stool I was sitting on & when he was thru Miss [Wenchel?] asked if I felt well cuz I looked so pale. I didn't tell her I had just forgotten to put on any makeup.
