Saving...
Sun. AM. Sept 10, 1944 Dear Folks, I haven't managed to get out of bed as yet, but I'm awake enough to write letters. Its really a fine morning for sleep as its raining out and its nice and cool. Its only 9:30 but I guess I woke up about 8:00 for I tore my pistol down and cleaned it and have taken a shower already. Right now I'm back in bed. The company had a beer party last night. We also had a supper there. We had fried chicken (1/2 per man and it was swell) potatoe salad & chips, olives, cheese, cold lunch meat. My buddies and I went to the show then came back and ate. We stayed around for awhile until the party got rough then we came back and went to bed. Went down to the infirmary to see about my jaw and they said it was a cold in the ear. Its ok now whatever it was. Nothing new has come up about our moving.
