Saving...
Sept 13, 1944 Wed. noon Dear Folks, I just finished eating lunch and I have a few minutes before we go back to work this afternoon. This has been a very easy week for me. Mon. morning I went to the field with the company, but they sent a jeep out after me about 9:30. I came in with a couple others and we have been instructing new men in the 263 Regt on the 60mm mortar. All I do is go to the parade ground at 8:00 in the morning and stand around and help the fellows learn how to handle the mortar. We have to have them ready for a test Fri. so we are having to push right along. Thats about all the news I can give you on what I've been doing. Didn't do much Mon night but fight around and upset each others bed. We really have a time now that the non-coms are home on furlough. Last night we went to the show but it wasn't too hot.
