Saving...
If you don't here from me in the next two weeks don't worry. We start a long problem tomorrow and we will leave our barrack bags behind. That means very little if any letter writing. No tents will be set up, no fires or noise at night. In other words it is just like combat for the next two weeks. We will be going day and night so there will be no spare time. So far it has been just a bivouac and we could have fires, sing or anything at night, but thats off now. I hope you get what I mean. I have five more letters I must answer before tonight. I'm afraid they will be rather short. I just can't seem to think of much to write. Sure hope Ken gets home as he plans to. I'd sure like to be there, but I'm afraid I'll be pretty busy about that time. Darn it all, I thought I could write a good long letter to you since it will be the last for awhile but I can't. Don't worry if you don't hear from me, but I might be able to write. Love, Carroll
