it is really a job after being fired. We have to clean them for three days in a row, after firing, with hot, soapy water. That is to cut the carbon. I enjoyed myself plenty on the range yesterday. We fired sitting and standing at 200 yds slow-fire, prone and kneeling at 300 yds slow fire, prone at 500 yds slow fire. We also fired rapid fire from the prone position at 300 yds and sitting position at 200 yds. I really got a hang out of firing at 500 yds. Believe me, that is quite a ways to be firing. That M1 is really a fine rifle. Incidentally, I made expert. I guess they can't get medals to give us though. Oh well!
