Black Panthers Replace Iroquois Men At Rucker The 66th Panther Division, boasting thousands of crack troops proudly wearing the "Phanter" shoulder patch, has arrived in Camp Rucker. Activated a year ago at Camp Blanding, Fla., the Panther Division has established an outstanding record for itself in twelve months of infantry training. One of the finest equipped and best trained outfits of the Army Ground Forces stationed in the United States, it has the added benefit of the excellent leadership and military knowledge of its commanding officer, Major General H. F. Kramer. Gen. Kramer, a native of Lincoln, Neb., is an officer of widespread military experience. The last American exchange student in Germany at the outbreak of the present conflict, he was an observer with the German armies which over-ran Poland and ravaged its capital city in 1939.
