Saving...
them out of the way if Kermit got here. I went to bed early Sat night because I was just too tired to stay awake. I slept late and I got called out of bed by a phone call. Kermit was in Ozark and wanted to know what to do. I had him come on out and I met him at the Bus Station. We got cleaned up and then walked around camp for a while then we took in a show. Got to go now. May 31, 1944 Oh, my aching feet! They have really covered the ground since I last time. As I was saying, after the show we looked up the "first Sgt" and managed to get me a pass until Tues morning at 6:00. We stayed in camp Sun. night then we went to Ozark Mon. We just messed around in there doing nothing much and talking alot. We got to bed at a hotel at about 11:00 and got up at three o'clock. He caught an early train and I took a bus back to camp.
