I got things straightened out and then lay down for half an hour. Everyone got up then and we went to work. I got about four hours sleep. We spent the day working on sitting up the mortars plus P.T. etc. At 7:00 that evening we started out on a 25 mile hike. We hiked until 3:30 this morning and finally got back. They fed us breakfast and then let us go to bed. By the time I took a shower and got to bed it was about 5:00. They let us sleep until 10:30 then we got up and cleaned the barrack. We went to work as usual this after noon and again worked on sitting up the mortar. Tonight we went on another night problem lasting from 6:00 until 8:30. My compand had to put on a demonstration of a rifle company in the attack. The General was down and he said we did very well. We fired blanks and had some other sound effects. We got in and I just finished cleaning my rifle. Right
