June 18, 1944 Dear Folks & Rose, I'm taking for granted that rose is now home so---. Boy is it hot here! I looked at the thermometer last evening when it should have been cool and it was 104 degrees. It doesn't cool down much at night either. You go to sleep sweating and wake up the same way. I'll start from Thurs when I last wrote and get caught up with the news. I was fire guard Thur.
