Saving...
June 25, 1944 Dear Folks, I finally managed to get out of bed and take a cold shower so now maybe I'm awake enough to write a letter. Its about 9:00 AM I guess. Seems like I slept half the day away. I have a date this afternoon with the landladies daughter. After so much time. I'm going into town this afternoon. I guess I wrote last Wed. so I'll start from there and get things up to date. We fired the pistol Thur. and I was lucky and made high expert. In fact, I guess it was the highest score made in the Battalion by pistol men. It was alot of fun anyway. I still "never miss" mom. Wilfred won't have much trouble trying to get me to go fishing with him. Thats one thing I'm looking foreword to. Those fish should be big and hungry
