about that time to. I got the cookies rose sent, but they were gone in a flash. What I had were darned good. Guess I forgot to finish telling what I had been doing. Friday we went out and fired the new type machine gun just so we would know what it was like. Sat morning we had drill, P.T., first aid class and weapons inspection. After dinner I went out to the lake for a swim and then I came back to camp and wrote letters the rest of the night. I don't get time to write during the week so I have to do it all on the weekend. Tues. night we take another 25 mile hike. I think this one we carry full field equipment. Can't say that it makes me very happy. That was a pretty short vacation rose had, but I guess it was better than nothing. To bad about her plans getting messed up by the army. They seem to be pretty good at that sort of thing.
