Saving...
This kid that recently got married is from N. York, State and the girl is from Mo. He met her in ASTP in Mo. I got a letter from Joe [Nemech?] this past weekend. Haven't had time to answer. My letter writing is shot. I also heard from [Nana?] thanking me for the locket. I pass my thanks on to you. I'm painted white with some stuff to kill this heat rash. Its clearing up some now. Its nearly time for lights out and I'm darned near dead. These hikes are wearing me out. Looks like we are going to have a big shooting match some day dad. Don't doubt that you could show me up. We have the radio on and the Republican convention is really going strong. It just now ended. What do you think of their choice? It seems like I'm writing worse and worse letters lately, but it seems that I have nothing much to write. Maybe I . can do better when I get some sleep and thats just what I'm going to do now. Night folks. Love Carroll
