March 1, 1944 Dear Folks, I'm in class now so I'll get a letter written. Most of the guys sleep through it but I'll try and make a little better use of it. I just got through taking a math test, I don't know how I did. I haven't heard any more about when I'll leave. Shouldn't be too awfully long though. We won't all leave at the same time so I don't know if any of us will stick together or not. It doesn't look like I'll get into the air cargo. A special bulletin came out stating that air corp enlistments were closed unless the mental and physical exam had been taken. Also it is impossible to transfer out of the army ground force so it looks as if I'm staying
