Saving...
I'm not too bad a banker dad for I collected my loans for [illegible] to expected to be shipping any time. However, I don't charge interest. I haven't heard anything about when we leave, but the way things look it won't be before April 1st. If I hold out that long then there is a good chance that the guys from Roberts will stay together. I hope so anyway. Ken said he didn't find a watch just like he wanted, but he was still trying. Sure hope he can find one. Hope mine got through ok. That wasn't a very good way to wrap it, but it was the best I could do. What did they name Ben's boy? I was sure surprised to hear about Ben Lambert getting married. Ray sent me a picture of some native girls on that island. They were sure tough lookers. They aren't much to look forward to and that's for sure. I'll sign off and get busy on Ken's letter. Maybe I'd better give him heck to mom. Let you know if anything happens and I will write sooner this time. Love Carroll
