Saving...
March 14, 1944 Dear Folks, I'm in history class so I decided to write letters. I just finished one to Ivan. It sounds like he has a pretty good thing. Everyone is either writing letters or reading books. Some of our teachers told us they didn't care if we skipped class just so we didn't all leave the same day. Haven't heard anymore of what becomes of us. We start final tests next week. I'm afraid it will be rather a flunking mess. Already 200 guys are flunking in our company of 260. They are studying even less now so it should be quite an affair. The film got through ok. You won't need to send me anymore now. Thanks for the trouble and thank you for saving them for me. It has been snowing the last couple days. Not much but it keeps us guessing. It isn't cold out though. Had a meeting at the SAE house last night. We just more or less got together for a two hour get together and talked. Say, what happened to the school news in the Clarion? Doesn't the new editor print it or did the school do away with it? Its been absent the last two weeks.
