Saving...
March 16, 1944 Dear Folks, Guess its about time for another letter so here comes. Surprises have been coming right and left this week. We got notice that we could send no more laundry so that probably means we don't have to long to stay here. There are several rumors as to where we will be sent, but I'll wait till I know for sure. Also I got a letter for my Indian friend. He has an HPO, but I don't have the slightest idea where he is. Its the first time I've heard from him for months. Another surprise is that I got a letter from Ken and he has found a watch and its now on the way. It sounds like a darned good one too. I guess I'll have an over supply of watches pretty soon. Thanks for sending yours dad, but now you see why I didn't think it would be worth while. I hate to bang it back and forth through the mail.
