Saving...
March 24, 1944 Dear Folks, It's nearly eleven o'clock Fri night and I just got in. Since our time is limited and we have no studying to do, they let us out till ten-thirty the last two nights..Last night I stayed in and dad my laundry since we can't send it out. Tonight, my room mate and I went to a show and we just got back. Tests are nearly over. We have three more government tests tomorrow then we are through. We turned our books in yesterday. I don't know anymore about when we leave or where we are going. A lot of rumors are going around as usual. My guess is that we we leave around the middle of next week. It looks like a lot of the fellows think we will be sent to Fort Leonard Wood, MO. I guess that would be getting closer to home, but I don't think I'd like the Missouri campus.
