Saving...
April 4, 1944 Dear Folks, I just finished supper and I have a few minutes before I go back to work. We have but darned little time to ourselves and that's for sure. Yesterday we took exercises by the dozens, had lectures, drill and topped it of with about a six mile hike. We had supper then we had class work until 9:00. I was so darned tired by then I came back and piled into bed. Today has been about the same thing and we go back out pretty soon. I think we have about a fifteen mile hike tomorrow night. Nothing slow about getting started is there? I talked to a Lt. about getting transfered to a heavy weapons company but he just looked at me and laughed. He did admitt it would be nice.
