Saving...
Tomorrow night we scrub barracks. That is proof enough that I'm back in the army. It looks like we get these new men and then take basic training. That's because a lot of them are air corp, medics, signal corp etc and haven't had infantry basic. Got some mail tonight. A letter from Ivan, Kermit, you mom, and Kay. Two letters (good ones) from her real close together. Whats it all about scout? Kermit said he had broken a leg. Two guys who bunked right beside me went A.W.O.L. two days ago and are still missing. They were going P.O.E. so they evidently didn't care for it. That storm at Little Rock was just rain (hard) some wind, but I didn't think it was much. Maybe it missed camp. I bought some junk at the P.T. for Margret as a graduation present. Don't know when I can get to a post office so will mail it to you because she may have gone to Ohio by the time it gets there. Guess I'd better get busy again. Oh this army life. Love Carroll
