The next thing I knew I was on my way to France. We got to port and climbed into a train of these (40+8) box cars. Fourty men or eight horses. You've probably heard the fellows talk about it from the last war. Boy were they cold. We stopped and stayed over night on an old air field. We rode trucks from there. I can't tell you where I'm at or what I'm doing, but I have seen a little combat. Thats the best I can do. There is about three or four inches of new snow on the ground this morning. Its warm today and it just made it sloppy. It looked good though.
