Saving...
France Jan 14, 1945 Dear Folks, It seems that I have a little time to myself this morning so I though I'd try and write a few lines. I'm way behind in my letters to you anyway. Its quite snowy out and its pretty darned cold besides. It snowed three days in a row so its pretty white out. Sounds like you had a good bit of the family together for Xmas. I'd have given plenty to be there, but maybe next time. Thanks for the present dad + mom. Put it with the rest of my stuff please. Speaking of bonds, I should get a $50. a month starting Jan.
