Dear folks, I guess I’d better get a letter written tonight because it has certainly been long enough since the last time. I kept putting it off so I could tell you about ASTP. I finally got some information on it. I took some more tests and was interviewed by another [board?] I guess I’m going back to school after basic training is over. Guess what I’m going to have to study. I’m going in to be a civil engineer. I’m a little bit afraid of it for it takes a lot of math and physics and you know how I like that. I can try though. There is a chance we might come to Iowa U. Sure be swell if we could. I don’t know a great deal about the situation but I guess the course lasts 21 months. We might get five days at the end of basic and we might not.
