Sept 11, 1943 Dear Folks, The weekend is here again but quite different from the others. We have completed one week in the field already and have but one more to go. I'm sitting by my tent taking life easy. There are mountains all around and the shadows are beginning to get long. It would really be pretty if I knew I didn't have to climb all of these hills. It really is nice anyway. I'm very sorry I haven't gotten a letter to you for so long. I got two letters from dad today which told me you hadn't received much mail. I really have been busy and now I'll tell you what I've been doing to keep me that way. I'll start with last Sun. night when
