Saving...
Oct 16, 1943 Dear Folks, Here it is Saturday night and I'm sitting in my room all by myself. Why stay in on our only night off? I had the misfortune of missing a roll call so I've been confined to quarters over the weekend. Nice of them wasn't it. Oh well, I can catch up on my letter writing this way. I wouldn't have done much anyway since most of the fellows have dates. It was sort of a bad break since it is the only free night though. What a mess! The army got the wild idea that we should all change rooms into certain sections. My roomates and I are all being seperated. I now have a couple "dopes" for roomates. these fellows were helping me learn math to. It really helped.
