the place. I read in the Clarion where Richland really lost a heartbreaker to Kalona. It was really a bad one to lose. Thanks for the five dollars dad. It may come in hand. The army did its usually job of messing up and we had to re-sign the payroll. I suppose they'll pay us in due time. Got a letter from Kay and her mother is in the hospital. I guess she can't move her right arm or leg. I guess I can't think of anything else to write about. I have several letters to write yet tonight. One thing about staying in is that I save money and get my letters written. Love Carroll
