Saving...
Yesterday we had the test in the day and last night we had a night problem of the company in a withdrawal. It rained for four hours while we we out and it was miserable. We waded ditches that were over our knees getting back. Today we had rain all day but we had tatics anyway. Now we have to clean the barracks. I got $20 for the watch already. I'll tell you about that later as I'm rushed. Bill Thompson wrote and said he might get here this Sat to see me. Hope he makes it. This should make you feel good. It is almost certain that I won't be going POE this next bunch. Since I'm first gunner they are trying to hold me and I think they will do it. I think they will leave both 1st & 2nd gunners. I have to get busy now so bye for now. Love, Carroll.
