Aug 29, 1944 Dear Folks, I have a few seconds before lights go out so I'll have a letter waiting for you when you get home. I don't know when I last wrote so I'll start back a few days. We got in from a problem Fri night so I went to bed early. It was the same old type of problem. Sat morning we had off for the cleaning of all our equipment. Good break! In the afternoon I looked up the gang from Wyo. There were fourteen of us when the party was complete. We kept going until about 11:00 that night. Went to bed early because I had KP Sun. Pretty poor weekend for me. When I got off I had to get my stuff ready for Mon. morning. We went out a problem and it was a defensive setup. We dug in and all that. This went in
