Saving...
a few minutes in the evening. My eyes are alot better since I haven't been working so hard. If I'd kept working like I was I'd sure have needed glasses before long. I got a letter from Harry Robertson and he is in Hawaii. I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed there since he's in the Hospital corp. I haven't heard from Kermit for a long time. Maybe he thinks I owe him a letter. Dad, I haven't heard from Ken yet so I don't know what he thinks. One thing about the Air Corp is that, regardless of whether you fly or not, you still get a much better deal than most places. I'm not crazy to fly like some, but I would like it and there are plenty of good jobs n the ground. All the fellows who have good eyes are trying for air corp. Dad; I'm not saying for sure what I'll do, but I think I may try the air corp. If I do I'll need 3 letters of recommendation and my birth certificate. Would you get them for me so I'll have them if I need them? I don't care much who the letters are from. You can pick someone as well as I can. Don't break a leg trying to get them back the day after you get this letter. The mail should be in so I'll go see and mail this on the way. Love Carroll
