Jan 30, 1944 Dear Folks, It is now nine o'clock Sunday night so I guess I'd better get some letters written. I haven't been in my room all day. The longer I stay out of it the better I like it. Mom, that is pretty nice stationary you are sporting. Don't know why it wouldn't work. I went to a sorority party last night. Someone got me a date and I didn't know anything about it till they came and told me. Nice of them to let me know wasn't it. We wore fatigues and it was quite a bit of fun. I'm anxious to get those pictures since you say they aren't as bad as the others. This afternoon, three other fellows and I went to a show and then ate down town, The show was good but I forget the name. It has snowed a little, but there still isn't much on the ground. I still haven't been able to get a hair cut. If
